Public Garden Opened in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskii
Authorities of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskii have opened a public garden within the national priority project Creation of a Comfortable Urban Environment. It's the first public garden restored at the peninsula within the program.
RUB 15 million were spent on the public garden restoration: benches, asphalted pedestrian ways, lighting, a new playground and a sports area for teenagers appeared there.
Approximately RUB 70 million were allotted for Kamchatka Krai within the project. Two thirds of the received amount were spent on the beautification of yards and one third of "prominent" objects of the urban environment including main streets, public gardens and parks. The park in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskii will become the next object beautified within the project. Also it's planned to beautify at least 35 yards by the end of the year.
It should be recalled that Far Eastern regions are actively participating in implementing the priority federal project Creation of a Comfortable Urban Environment. It began in all Russian regions upon the initiative of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation. The project maximally takes account of citizens' opinions when beautifying urban spaces.
The Government of Russia has already made a decision about continuing the project.
The quality of sociocultural environment in the Far East is the main question. We ought to create a social environment for the youth to live comfortably and find interesting events.
