Far East Hectare Law To Be Amended
During the autumn session, the State Duma is to consider amendments to the law on the ‘Far East Hectare’. This information was given by Sergey Kachaev, Deputy Minister for the Development of the Far East at the Russian Conference on Cooperation on the Far East Hectare that began on November 8 in Khabarovsk.
‘Now following the task set by the President of the Russian Federation we are preparing amendments to the federal law on the “Far East Hectare”. We propose that our compatriots coming from abroad to gain permanent residence in Russia should be also covered by this law. So far, the law envisaged the provision of land only to Russian citizens. We are also preparing a whole range of simplifications of the procedure of obtaining the ‘Far East Hectare’ said Sergey Kachaev, Deputy Minister for the Development of the Far East
In his words, the term of reviewing the application for the ‘Far East Hectare’ may be reduced from 45 to 30 days.
Sergey Kachaev also mentioned that in 2018 over 40,000 people may apply for the hectare.
‘Over 31,000 people have already obtained the land. Until the end of the year, another 8,000 will get it as well. According to our estimates, by 2018 there will be 40,000 ‘Far East Hectare’ owners in the Far East,”- said Sergey Kachaev said.
Let us remind you that the All-Russian Conference on Cooperation on the Far East Hectare opened in Khabarovsk. It involves the nation’s best empirical experts in the field of cooperation, the owners of the ‘Far East Hectare’, those who have already started their own business on the land plot or are just planning to do that. All in all the number of participants is above 200 people.
