The Number of People Arrived to the Russian Far East by E-Visa Is about 32.000

Since August last year, almost 32 thousand residents took advantage of the simplified visa regime in the Russian Far East. Most often on an e-visa here come from the People's Republic of China (more than 25 thousand people) and Japan (more than 6.5 thousand people).
Also by means of this mechanism on the Russian Far East arrived 142 citizens of Singapore, 52 people from India, 25 - from DPRK, 21 residents of Saudi Arabia, 15 Mexicans, 10 - Turkish, 9 residents of Bahrain, 6  - Algerians, 4 - Iranians, 4 - Moroccans, 3 people from UAE,  and two from Kuwait.
Today, it is possible to arrive on an e-visa in six Far Eastern regions of Russia. There are air checkpoints in Vladivostok (Knevichi), Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Yelizovo), Blagoveshchensk, Khabarovsk (new), Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Khomutovo), and Anadyr (Ugolny). Most often on an e-visa arrive in Primorsky Krai, but the first arrivals have been already fixed in Khabarovskiy Krai.
Maritime checkpoints operate in three regions: Primorsky Krai, Kamchatka and Sakhalin. On an e-visa in Primorye it is possible to arrive through railway checkpoints “Pogranichny”, “Khasan”, and “Makhalino”, and highway checkpoints “Poltavka”, “Turiy Rog”.
Since August last year, 45.5 thousand electronic visas have been issued for the visitors of the Russian Far East. The most active are Chinese and Japanese, who received over 43.4 thousand visas (34.5 thousand - residents of China and over 8.9 thousand - residents of Japan).
Residents of 18 countries can apply for an e-visa on a specialized website. This should be done four days before the expected entry. E-visa is issued free of charge, without consular fee.
