The Dates of the EEF-2019 already Scheduled
The Fifth (jubelee) Eastern Economic Forum will be held on September 4-6, 2019. Traditionally, the forum will take place in the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University.
"Over the years, the Forum has become a recognized international platform for discussion of multilateral cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region," said Anton Kobyakov, advisor to the President of the Russian Federation. He added, “The unification of leading politicians, businessmen, scientists and experts from almost all the countries of the APR on one platform creates a unique basis for international cooperation.”
The Eastern Economic Forum becomes a significant event of the world level. According to the results of EEF-2018, 220 agreements, contracts, memoranda, protocols amounting to 3 trillion 185 billion rubles were signed. This amount is 1.3 times higher than that of EEF-2017.
“Over the past three years, the Forum has become a recognized international platform for discussing strategic issues of Russia's integration into the Asia-Pacific space. Our task is to make this tool even more effective for the Russian Far East. We plan that next year the moderators will report the results of their sessions to the President. The forum will be organized so that from discussion, wishes, analysis there was an immediate transition to decision-making at the state level”,- commented Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District, and chairman of the EEF organizing committee.
Every year the EEF attracts more and more participants: this year, there were more than six thousand people. Every year, the business community and political elites show more and more interest to the forum. The program of the forum becomes more and more saturated. This year, it included more than a hundred business events.
“This year, the EEF was visited by four heads of state, including for the first time the president of China Xi Jinping. Our goal is to make the forum more interesting year by year, and let its results be tangible for the development of the Russian Far East,” said Alexander Kozlov, minister of the Russian Federation for the development of the Far East and deputy chairman of the EEF organizing committee.
During the forum, 58 agreements were concluded with international and foreign companies. Among them, the most documents have been signed with the Chinese companies (31 agreements for 290.6 billion rubles), Japanese companies (16 agreements for 1591.1 billion rubles) and companies of the Republic of Korea (nine agreements for 9.5 billion rubles).
Let us remind you that at VEF-2017 were concluded 217 agreements for 2 trillion 496 billion rubles. At VEF-2015, eighty agreements were signed amounting to 1.3 trillion rubles. Two hundred and sixteen 16 agreements for more than 1.8 trillion rubles were signed at VEF-2016.
