The Resident of Yakut ASEZ Prepares to Test Automobile Tires Jointly with the Japanese Corporation
A motorcar track for testing tire quality under extreme cold conditions is under construction in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) at ASEZ Industrial Park Kangalassy. The volume of investments in the project, which the resident, the OOO “Testing Ground of the Northeastern Federal University”, implements by agreement with JSC “Corporation for the Development of the Far East”, is about 59 million rubles. Five million rubles from this amount have been already drawn.
To date, the first stage of the object (special machinery garage) is connected to the entire engineering infrastructure provided to residents of ASEZes.
“Foreign and domestic manufacturers of tires are interested in the services of our testing ground, - says Mr. Ivan Noev, director of OOO “Testing Ground of the Northeastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov”. - For example, “Bridgestone”, a well - known Japanese tire manufacturer, already conducts testing of tires for passenger cars at our motordrome. On our new tracks, we plan to test tires for trucks of other foreign winter tires manufacturers.”
According to the resident of ASEZ “Industrial Park Kangalassy”, the scientific test site located in the permafrost area with arctic climate and natural snow will be in high demand among Russian and foreign companies.
Besides, the roadmap for the project for the construction of a testing ground for automobile tires provided for the inclusion in the ASEZ of an additional land plot of 72 hectares. According to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation and the agreement concluded in December of this year between the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East, the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) and the city of Yakutsk, the ASEZ “IP Kangalassy” area increased 1.5 times.
As director of the ASEZ “Industrial Park Kangalassy” management company Mr. Dmitry Borisov clarified: the adding of an additional land plot to the ASEZ will allow the resident to implement the second stage of the project.
The operation of the facility, consisting of several motorways with a length of 80 to 1,842 meters and a width of 5 to 70 meters with various types of road surfaces, slopes and turns, is planned already in 2019.
ASEZ “Industrial Park Kangalassy” was established according to the RF Government Decree No. 877 dated August 21, 2015. Now, it is a multifunctional manufacturing and business platform. Currently, under agreements with JSC “Corporation for the Development of the Far East”, 17 residents are investing in the territory of this ASEZ with projects totaling 2.4 billion rubles and plans to create 384 jobs, of which six companies have already implemented their projects.
